This is an online collection of information about parks and places in and around the Omaha Nebraska area, presented in blog format just because it is so much simpler to do that way.
There is no guarantee of accuracy, and some of the descriptions and thoughts are just my opinion.
It is a reference guide for myself that others may also find useful. It concentrates on mainly parks in Omaha and nearby locations. There are no set rules on how things will be presented here. If I have the info handy, or look it up, I will try to include the park size, lagoon, pond, or lake size if there is one, and also the location.
To simplify things for myself, sometimes I will add a note on how to reach that particular place.
The good, the bad, and the ugly? If a particular thing at a park or place impresses me enough one way or another, and I think of it, I will add that info on the post.
I do like the convenience of a nearby park, something within a 10 -20 minute drive, but every now and then we will wander just a bit to see something different, such as Lake Arrowhead Park in Iowa.
Pictures? I usually bring the camera with when we go to a park, and hope to eventually get photos of all parks and places added to this website. After all, it is nice to get a look at the park or place the page is all about.
How recent is the information? That will vary. Please do not even begin to consider this to be an up to date collection of info, because it is not intended to be that way. Keep in mind that everything listed here is as it was on the day we visited that location. Sometimes the parks or other places can close for long periods of time for a variety or reasons. Things that were at the park the day we were there may no longer be there..
Who am I? I am Craig Wisti. I guess it is nice to have a face to go along with the words, so I will add this picture here and get it over and done with.
